Mr. Jagdish Capoor

Chairman

Mr. Jagdish Capoor holds a master’s degree in commerce from Agra University and a fellowship from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. He has over 40 years of experience in banking and finance.

He joined the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1962 and served as its deputy governor prior to his retirement in 2001. During his service with the RBI, he was also appointed to the boards of several banks like Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India, the National Housing Bank, NABARD, and Exim Bank.

After leaving/retiring from the RBI, he was appointed Chairman of HDFC Bank, Agriculture Finance Corporation, and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). He served on the boards of several notable corporations, including LIC Pension Fund Ltd, LIC Housing Finance Ltd, Manappuram Finance Ltd, AGS Transact Technologies Ltd, and others. From 2003 to 2011, he served on the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Mr. Capoor is currently on the board of Spandana Sphoorty Financial Ltd. as an independent director and also holds directorships on the boards of Fintech Products and Solutions (India) Pvt Ltd. and Finsec AA Solutions Pvt Ltd.

Mr. Pankaj Kumar Gupta

Vice Chairman

Mr. Pankaj Kumar Gupta is a fellow Chartered Accountant with experience spanning more than 40 years in sectors such as banking, insurance, merchant banking, financial services, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, feasibility studies, project finance, private placements, accounting, and taxation. He has handled assignments as Central Statutory Auditors of Banks and Institutions, viz., Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, General Insurance Corporation, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Indian Rare Earths, Zonal Audits of the Steel Authority of India, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, and other private sector clients. He also has been associated with assignments involving investigative audits, monitoring of borrowing accounts, and valuations, among other related specialised professional assignments allotted to his firm of chartered accountants, which he founded. The firm is on the panel of various banks and institutions. He is the Chairman of West End Investment & Finance Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. and the Vice Chairman of Invent Assets Securitisation & Reconstruction Private Limited, as well as the Senior Partner and Founder of Shah Gupta & Co., an established firm of Chartered Accountants since 1976, and was previously a Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India's Primary Market Advisory Committee.

Ms. Sheetal Manhas

Non-Executive Director

Ms. Manhas is a qualified chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She is presently the CEO of Invent Asset Securitisation and Reconstruction Private Ltd., an asset reconstruction company licenced by the Reserve Bank of India.

Ms. Manhas has over 20 years of experience in the fields of distressed asset resolution, insolvency, corporate finance, and cash management systems. Ms. Manhas had previously advised several clients on debt restructuring and one-time settlements with their bankers prior to joining Invent Asset Securitisation and Reconstruction Private Ltd. She has also worked on several corporate finance transactions, having raised project finance and working capital for mid-level and large corporations, and has provided other financial advisory and consultancy services to such corporations. Ms. Manhas oversees business development and relationship management and is also involved in the acquisition and resolution of NPAs from banks and institutions under the SARFAESI Act of 2002 and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code of 2016. She is also responsible for ensuring compliance and conformity with adequate regulations. Ms. Manhas previously worked at the Ranbaxy Regional Office in Singapore, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company, and West End Investment & Finance Consultancy.

Mr. Virendra Singh

Independent Director

Mr. Virendra Singh, an IRS Officer from the 1985 batch, retired after 35 years of distinguished service as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Bihar and Jharkhand Region. He has done his postgraduate work in science and is a qualified lawyer. He has extensive and diverse experience working in various areas of the Income Tax Department, including investigation, assessment, administration, international taxation, risk assessment, and a large taxpayer unit. In addition, he worked for seven years in the Economic Offence Wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation in Mumbai, where he was tasked with monitoring and supervising investigations involving various types of financial crimes/frauds. He has worked at stations in Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Jammu and Kashmir, Nagpur, and Patna.

For more than four years as Commissioner of Income Tax, Jammu & Kashmir, he established the Income Tax Department's reputation as an absolutely honest, professional, transparent, fair, responsive, and accountable tax administration by initiating taxpayer-friendly measures such as clearing all refunds pending for more than three years within the first three months of his posting.
